Update, I pulled the cover off, the port to the vents were taped shut. It's fine I suppose, but um why/how on a new unit? A little history, this is a 25 we bought new just a month ago from blue compass, I have suspicions now about this rv. Something doesn't make sense about this.
Well , I guess you could easily open those and restore your duct air flow.
Maybe this is just a case of a installer not understanding exactly what they were supposed to do and they taped them shut in error.
Obviously, this should have been caught by quality control and a delivery PDI. Just helps prove the point that these words don’t have a strict definition to the folks responsible for performing the tasks.
We pay entirely too much money for these rigs only to potential suffer from quality issues thruout the life of the rig.
I can’t see change coming until consumers start challenging the industry with their purchasing power. Unfortunately, many of us enjoy the experience of camping and accept substandard quality as normal.
I did read recently were GD was advertising some new improvements to quality, stand features and production .
Pre made wiring harness as one example. Maybe others will follow . I guess small steps are better than no steps.
Paranoia, has been brought up here several times in the past weeks, for sure it will tear you up inside thinking you may have issues even when you don’t . By no means am I suggesting you have paranoia, you have your suspicion for reasons only known to you and your instincts could be correct.
I can only say, that I got caught up in it pre purchased and almost decided not to purchase at all.
Now, I just find it best to focus on the enjoyment of the travel experience and the interaction of the great folks on this forum. I just roll with the punches when they come.
