2023 310RL Renogy MPPT 40A question

As noted, I have a 2023 310RL with the standard 320 solar panel and the 40A Renogy MPPT charge controller.

There are 2 additional ports available on the unit that I am wondering what they can be used for. Specifically, could they be used to charge a solar generator?

These are ports 15 and 16 (DC Load Terminals). The manual indicates they can be used to power DC devices.

Anyone know if these could be used to connect a MC4 cable to act as a charger for a solar generator?

As I understand these ports, they are available to power any DC load that is within their output rating.
Can’t comment on your specific ask, but it should not matter what it powers as long as it is DC and within the circuit output rating.

Thanks for the response @BryanValRox. Looking at the load install directions, it appears the 'load' connection will pull from the 12v battery.

I assume, my proposed setup would drain the 12v battery unless I throttled the solar generator charge to be less than the inbound solar + 12v battery drain. Not ideal.

Well, IMHO I guess that would really depend on your use case. The “Size” and “Capacity “ of your components and your loads would factor into the output and recovery rate.
