110V receptacles not working

2024 310RL Paradigm – Four 110V Receptacles Dead

I’ve got four 110V outlets not working:
  • Two behind the recliners
  • One outside the living room slide
  • One to the left of the couch near the floor
I’ve searched everywhere and only found two GFCIs (island and bathroom). Both are good. Really hoping I’m not missing a hidden one somewhere.

What I’ve checked so far:
  • Reset all breakers
  • All four dead receptacles ohm out on the same circuit
  • Shut down all 110V power and checked continuity (hot, neutral, ground) back to the panel — all good
  • Pulled the receptacles behind the recliners (see pic).
  • I’m assuming the black SO cable is the feed coming in from the panel, but there’s no power on it.
  • Used a toner to trace the SO cord — it disappears into the belly, and I couldn’t follow it further.
  • The toner did ring out to the receptacle on the left side of the couch near the floor when the Anderson connector is unplugged.
At this point it looks like I need to take the little cabinet next to the couch apart to access the wiring. Maybe the SO cord feeds that couch-side receptacle first and then jumps over to the ones behind the recliners ?

Does anyone have a schematic for the 110V system on the 310RL or know where the feed comes from.
I’ll email Alliance next, but I was hoping not to wait on a response if someone already has the print or knows this circuit path.

This might not have the level of detail that you are looking for, but it may help.
I only see the two GFI‘s you already found. That is consistent with our 310 RL as well.

If it is similar to our 385FL, those receptacles are fed from the GFCI on the Island. I would focus there. We had a weak GFCI and they replaced it at the Rally. You may want to open ot up and ensure power is leaving it towards those receptacles.

Hope this helps,

Bryan - Thanks for the diagram, That matches my RV exactly. At least I know I didn't miss a GFI.
The Island GFI has a green light and both receptacles work. Maybe the feed out from it to the defective outlets is bad.
The receptacle out side is not a GFI.

Your very welcome, do you know if your missing the Hot or Neutral on that black cable coming up out of the floor?
You sound like you have electrical meter skills, so if you checked those connections back to the panel, you would at least know which side of the circuit you are chasing or maybe both.

Also, given this is based within the slide, don’t forget the flex points underneath that allow for extension and retraction.

Please keep us posted on the outcome.

Bryan, I'm missing the hot. Nutrual and ground Ohm out to the box ok. Just realized I should probably tracing it back to the GFI and not he box.
I looked at the flex points, SO cable comes down from the slide into the underbelly. It's fully covered all the way down. Hopefully the problem is not in there. I'll pull apart the GFI next. Maybe the feed out is bad.I'm driving blind without a road map. Thanks again

Looking at your picture, the black cable appears to have a “ narrowed “ or pinched section about a foot or so back from the connection. Have you investigated a possible break there.?

Hope you get it tracked down.

Finally found the problem. The feed wire located in the floor cabinet next to the sofa was not making a good connection in the receptacle. The receptacle has three 14/3 Romex wires feeding into it. It has push-in wire connectors. Three wires is one too many to fit the push-locks. When I took the cover off a few wires popped out of the push-lock connector. Not the problem wire but the one feeding the TV & stove area. I may install a plastic resident box & a screw down receptacle. I ended up taking apart 5 receptacles before I found the bad one. Pulled out the love seat, Most of the retaining screws had already come loose, Alliance refused to help. Told me to call an RV repair person. So - in that sofa cabinet - Three wires -# ONE feeds right side, # TWO - feeds the left side TV kitchen, THREE ? must come from the Island GFI.

Glad you got it figured out!

Congratulations!

I too have found poor electrical wiring workmanship. I gave up with the coax for the cable tv as it is always fuzzy even with power switched on or off. One day I may check all the connections for tightness.
