Update on our plans. Doesn’t look like we will be Allies any time soon. We bought a house, came off the road, and even traded our truck for a car. Our current rig is in Goshen being fixed and we will sell it. So we aren’t gonna be RVing any time soon.
Btw, if anyone is looking for a ready for a...
Right now, we aren’t mobile. We are making a trip to Affinity RV for major repair assuming it doesn’t fall apart on us on the way there. We are also coming off the road from full time hopefully closing on a house end if this month so we can just leave it there if it’s fixable.
We lucked up on an On-The-Go at a SOB rally in 2019. We’ve used it ever since. Charles has even managed to figure out a way to mount it inside the bay of the rig. (we are still a SOB)
They showed us how to go back to the 40 lbers if needed. But we tend to get refilled before we do. This spring we will be turning it in, we are buying a house and storing the RV instead of living in it.
We are stationary in our Some Other Brand, and are using a 100 lb tank. They brought out the necessary stuff to connect but we purchased it from them. When they pick it back it, they refund that money. At least that’s how our provider handles it.
We got air bags cause the tongue weight on our 5th wheel (not yet an Alliance) was causing what is referred to as the “Carolina squat” nose high. It does help with ride quality so that’s a nice benefit. So it’s more of a towing convenience. We have a 2015 F450.
We have snap pads on our SOB. Other than I have a problem with aiming the pad to the metal foot so that they go straight on while I was on looking on one side, we did great. We did manage to lose two over the years, we did find out, they have a 2 year warranty...
My husband Charles and I want to be Allies but are still in an SOB (some other brand) due to finances. We are stationary full timers, living in the northern panhandle of West Virginia right on the Ohio River.
