Tow vehicle for 30rls

Just started researching fifth wheels and found out about the Alliance brand. We currently tow a 2017Grand Design Imagine 2500 travel trailer with a 2020 F250 crew cab with 7.3 Godzilla (gas) engine. Payload is 3,000 lbs. Can I safely tow a 30RLS with my truck? Plenty of power but I’m not too familiar with pin weights and hitches for a fifth wheel. Probably 300 - 350 lbs or so in truck while traveling. Also can you open the fridge on the 30rls when the slide is in? Thanks for the help. Kim

Welcome to the forum! Yes you should be good towing at 30rls with a F-250. Average pin weight for a 30rls is 1800lbs. On average a fifth wheel hitch is going to weigh around 150lbs. More if your truck doesn't have the factory fifth wheel prep in which case a fifth wheel hitch sub-frame would need to be installed.
The fridge side can be opened when the slides are retracted, but not the freezer. Let us know if you have any other question!.

Thanks for the insight. We do not have the factory fifth wheel prep so will remember to add that to our numbers. I'm confused why the freezer cannot be opened if the refrigerator doors can open when the slide is in. As far as I can tell from pictures, the freezer is on the top. What am I missing?

You can access the freezer and one side of the fridge in our 30RLS. Gas/Electric fridge.

Also. The 30RLS has a GVRW of 12500 lbs. Assuming the standard 20% pin weight. That would put the max pin weight at around 2500lbs.

Thanks for the picture. I have seen two different units online one with the top freezer and one with the bottom freezer. I thought the pin weight would be around 2,500. Just wondering what the "real world" numbers are from someone who has this unit. What vehicle do you use to tow your trailer?
