I would like to put a shut off valve at the exit port on the automatic change over. The soft lines for propane run under the trailer and are susceptible to being damaged from road debris or a tire blow out. What size ball valve is required and is that a flare thread or pipe thread. Has anyone done this yet?

I prefer to just close both propane tank valves when traveling. Some locations require that if you go through a tunnel that has inspection sites. Another item to consider is the propane Gas Stop valve. Not cheap but a great safety item.
