Event Types

Below are some Alliance RV related Event Types as we anticipate them at this time as well as general descriptions for each. We believe that over time, more Event Types could added and existing Event Types could evolve.

Please bear in mind that these event types and event planning bullet points are fairly representative of what we’ve seen done over the years but you certainly aren’t locked into anything. These are “your” events and you should do them as you see fit. We provide this information as a courtesy to get people thinking about the possibilities of various event constructs. Especially those who’ve never put on an event of this nature and are looking for a starting point.

Alliance RV Rally
Rallies are typically involves Alliance RV owners gathering at a camping venue for an event that is planned and hosted by an Alliance RV owner or staff member (Rally Host). Rallies are typically two to three days in length and generally not longer that a week. The Rally Host plans the event.

Rally planning often includes:
  • Choosing the dates for the rally
  • Choosing the venue for the rally and negotiating with the venue for a specific number of sites,
  • sometimes a discounted rate and sometimes a rally space (rally hall, room, covered porch, pavilion etc.)
  • Creating a rally agenda
  • Coordinating some rally support with an in-area Alliance RV dealer
  • Coordinating with Alliance RV for some rally support
  • Advertising the rally on various social media sites (Facebook, Alliance RV Owners Forum etc.)
  • Purchasing food, materials and related items
Rally Costs:
  • Campsite Costs: In most cases, attendees pay for their own camping fees
  • Rally Costs: Costs for producing a rally (paper items, food, drinks, ice, firewood, games, crafts etc.) are usually shared by rally attendees. Rally hosts often estimate these costs in advance and advertise a small per-person fee that is collected upon rally check-in

Alliance RV Camp-Out
An informal, little to no-agenda, low to no-cost event, typically organized by an Alliance RV product owner, and typically held at a campground with attendees staying at the campground with their RVs. Each typically pays his own ways and/or costs are shared/split amongst attendees.

Camp-Out planning often includes:
  • In some respects, Camp-Out planning is similar to rally planning
  • Camp-Outs may rarely have any dealer involvement
Camp-Out Costs:
  • Campsite Costs: In most cases, attendees pay for their own camping fees
  • Camp-Out Costs: There are typically little to no costs involved with producing a Camp-Out. Items needed are usually brought by attendees and shared. There typically isn’t an event fee charged by the host to attendees

Alliance RV Meet-and-Greet
An informal gathering over a period of a couple of hours with a very short agenda, if any, typically organized by an Alliance RV product owner, and typically held at a restaurant, club house, RV show, sporting and other events. It is suggested that if upcoming Alliance RV related events are known, that they are mentioned and perhaps discussed, especially if those future events will be held in the same area.

Meet-and-Greet planning often includes:
  • Choosing the date and time for the meet-and-greet
  • Choosing the venue for the meet-and-greet and negotiating with the venue for a specific number of seats and maybe a room
  • Advertising the meet-and-greet on various social media sites (Facebook, Alliance RV Owners Forum etc.)
Meet-and-Greet Costs:
  • Meet-and-Greets are typically no-cost events for the host. Each attendee pays his own meal, admission or whatever is involved at the event
