SOLVED - Thermostat troubleshooting

So it's November we're camping in Maryland. The temps overnight are in the 30-40s. We turned on the furnace for the first time since we've had the 370FB. The furnace ran fine for the first 10-12 hours. Woke up to a cold camper and the display on the thermostat is blank. I checked all breakers and fuses and found the 3amp fuse on the back of the thermostat blown. Moved the 3amp from a different thermostat, display is lit. Turn it to heat and about 3 seconds later it's blown again. Replace it again. I'm thinking a wire is shorted, where does the white wire go from the thermostat? Down to furnace or some where else?

I found it! The double wire going to the furnace, I believe it had a red stripe running down the white wire was pinched under the furnace. I got it out from under and the metal on the furnace had cut the insulation on the wire causing a short. Spliced the wire where it was cut, furnace works and thermostat not blowing fuses.

Awesome that you found that and took care of it yourself. By chance do you have a picture of the wire form when it was pinched? It could be instructive for others. Thanks for sharing!

So we have the same issue. I pulled the furnace out of the rig and ran a jumper wire from the Thermostat to the Furnace. Furnace works fine. Can anyone help provide thoughts on how to run a new wire? Do I need to remove all the undercarriage covering to get to the wires? Any short cuts or secrets would be most appreciated (2022 Valor 37V13)

Finally re-read the first fix and did some more investigation. When Alliance ran the thermostat wire, they wedged it behind two of the removable walls, it shorted out against the frame. replaced and functional again. Will try to attach photos.
