I sold my 2004 F350 and picked up this 21 F450 in January plenty of truck to pull the passes around Colorado. My brother works for Ford so I get a really nice discount. November we traded our 2006 sunny brook bh for a 22 41v15 another really nice up grade I won't have to load the RZR on the truck any more. I went with Gen Y goose box to save room in the truck it's much easier to pull that ball out than a heavy hitch. I have an on board air system I built Puma 1\3hp pump 150psi an old scuba tank for reserve, quick disconnect at the back of the box and air bags. Pump and solenoids that run everything I tucked in behind the back seat. My wife retired this past summer and I have about a year to go then we will be on the road a lot more.

Nice truck! I've had a number of SuperDuty's over the years and have a 2022 F450 on order. Can't wait!

That's a cool air setup you have too.

Nice setup. We are considering a Valor 42V13. That will require me to upgrade my truck from a 2500HD to a F450. I have seen several videos with people equipping the F450 with he air bags for trailer towing. Is the ride quality that bad with the F450 that you need to convert suspension to airbags? Or is it a towing convenience?

I've always added air bags on my Ford SuperDuty trucks as I've found the modern ones (2012 and up for me) to sag pretty good under a heavy pin weight. On those trucks, I did not convert the suspension to air. I did this not for ride quality but for air bag overloads to level the truck under heavy load.

I like the AirLift Load Lifter 5000 series product.

We got air bags cause the tongue weight on our 5th wheel (not yet an Alliance) was causing what is referred to as the “Carolina squat” nose high. It does help with ride quality so that’s a nice benefit. So it’s more of a towing convenience. We have a 2015 F450.
