Does 2025 23ML furnace operation require 120vac?

Just picked this fifth wheel up and haven't plugged it in yet as we mainly dry camp. Tried to turn the heat on with the remote and nothing happens. Does it really have to be plugged in to have the furnace operate?

No...the propane heater uses battery (DC) power to operate, not 120v (AC) power.

Can you hear it clicking?? It does this when it starts to light the flame. You do need at least 12v DC power on the battery bank. Anything lower and the circuit board will not allow the system to come on. Also test your propance flow, by lighting the stove.

Yeah, not hearing anything when I put the remote in heat mode, set the temp up and press power. Have the 120vac disconnected now as I install my inverter. Previous 2 campers I owned had a simple thermostat that I just set the mode and temp on the wall and it worked. This one the thermostat is only controlled by the remote and I'm concerned it needs to have the a/c powered to work.

If you are talking about the remote in the main living area that does not control the furnace. If you go up into the bedroom you should have a round Furrion thermostat on the wall. That controls the furnace. The furnace wires are tied into this thermostat. Cycle through to "HEAT" adjust the setting and it should come on.
