Destination Nashville via Asheville

Hope this is the right forum. . .

Looking to plan an early fall trip to the Nashville area. Leaving from Southeast Coastal VA, plan to stop for a night or two in Ashville along the way. Return trip is still TBD but perhaps a trek through Kentucky.

Any suggestions?

There is a lot to see in this part of the country. Enjoy!

Land between the lakes is a must see destination in my opinion. The large reservoirs of Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley offer some excellent largemouth bass and crappie fishing. We stay at an Army Corps of Engineers campground called Canal Campground in Grand Rivers, KY, which is about a 2 hour drive northwest of Nashville on I-24.
