Bedroom a/c not performing well..

On our 4 month old '23 paradigm 370fb when temperature outside is at 90's or above the bedroom/bathroom is at 85° and will not go below 74° until after 10pm with the thermostat is set at 65° everything looks fine as we took a look inside duct area ect. It also would be extremely nice if they had put 2 vents in bathroom and inside walk in closet that closet we keep open with fans going all day as well still won't help drop the temp. Anything you can help me with this is appreciated!

Hello Jennifer,
I can offer a couple of suggestions.
1. Could you install a removable Sun block/ reflective insert within the shower skylight and bathroom vent? Search the internet for style and sizing that would work for you or home made is another option.
2. More likely your duct work inside the A/C plenum is either not attached properly, collapsed or restricted in some manner. Or the duct is collapsed/restricted between the plenum and the bathroom outlet duct. A small flexible inspection camera could be inserted to view the inside of the duct work.
Try to determine if you have an air flow vs an Ac temperature output issue. This can be done by measuring the temperature drop of air going into the ac inlet and measuring the outlet air temp. The temperature delta should be in the neighborhood of @ 15 degrees.
You could also try adjusting the bedroom ac vents to direct more air flow to one room or the other as needed. If you close the cover outlet vents, it forces air flow into the duct work, if you slide them open more air flow will be directed into the bedroom and less into the duct work.

Thank you, reflective stuff is in all windows, and skylight in bathroom..air is coming put of the 3 vents, although one in bedroom is a little less,so thank you on possible collapse will need to try that,I do open the dump and it is blowing hard just not bringing temperature down, even doing half way on the dump so air still flows to vents..will definitely check air flow and temperature measurement..thank you so much for information...hopefully we find what it could be,85° is crazy hot in there..

If you are direct dumping into the bedroom and reflective measures are in place everywhere, my money would be on the temperature delta. I would hate to think someone didn’t install the insulation, but I guess anything is possible.
We recently returned from a 3 night local trip with temperatures near 100 degrees and heat index’s even higher.
Our 310 RL had no issues keep the coach at a comfortable 74 degrees. We have no reflective measures in place other than the day and night shades, day’s are usually down regardless, and the nights are alway down in the bedroom.
We did order it with dual pane windows, so I am sure that is helping some.(how much is a debatable topic)
Is your temperature issue only in the bedroom? Is the rest of the coach cooling ok?
Have you checked your A/c inlet filters to be sure they are clean to allow maximum air flow into the unit?
Given the numbers you are reporting, something is definitely wrong, what is the question.
Your unit could be freezing up .
Keep us posted as you investigate further.

Yes the living/kitchen is doing °76 although we have both units in that area set at °65 it's 105° outside...bedroom and main bathroom upstairs with walk in closet is °84 at the moment but we set thermostat at °66 hot air rises up there, with no air vent in closet and one in bathroom 2 above bed..filters are clean,it's nor froze up,it's cool air coming out,I just hope we find out what is going on....sadly our other 5th wheel has the dominic units 3 as well as this one different rv brand, but those kept to °65 and °66 in all 3 areas and was 5 foot longer in length...same kind of weather and same place camped...but thank you so much!!!

This one is a stumper, really feels like it is Delta T related( measure that inlet and out temp with a thermometer) in theory, based on your info, your inlet would be 84 , so your outlet should be @ 69.
I would be removing the plenum covers and checking to see if the divider between the inlet and outlet is installed properly, the freeze sensor is in place and inspect the ducts as suggested previously.
Also while your desired temp might be lower, for testing purposes try setting your thermostats at say 76 and see if the others will cycle to control your temp. Setting the stat at 66 is just going to make the units runs 24/7 and in certain conditions will cause freeze up. IMHO, 65-66 is a big ask of any factory installed RV HVAC system in a 105 degree ambient.
Might be time to call in a PRO for this one.
