I like your idea of back-to-back angle stock. I think I’d prefer to invert them and have them set flat onto the I-beam flange.
Let’s keep the ideas coming :)
@Shoaf - for piecing underbelly sections back together that I have slit from frame rail to frame rail, I have use 1x2 or 1x3 lumber to do as you suggest with metal strips.
That said, I'm considering adding a piece of 1" steel angle stock to go across the coach from on top of the bottom frame...
I've had a number of RVs over the last 20 years and with all of them, I do a number of modifications. These always include running wires and often plumbing below the floor within the frame. This means I am always removing my underbelly material.
Historically, the industry typically uses...
Hi @chrsbrq - I can't confirm this for you at this time. I am out of the country for a few weeks. Consider shooting a note to our team at service@alliancerv.com. Include the last 6 digits of your VIN in that email.
Hi Shelly,
At some point, we’ll be removing the Resource section of this forum as we’ve moved all that content to the Alliance Owners Academy site.
Here’s a link to the article for Dexter...
@adampw30 - you can place a custom order through a dealership. Most dealers will accommodate this. As long as your time horizon fits a typically longer build cycle, it's a great way to get what you want.
@7ACMike - similar to what Jim suggested above, in my Paradigm, when I removed my battery box, I pop-riveted in a piece of thick sheet metal and sealed the edges (from the top) with bottom board tape.
Hi @HD Road King - are you using the Bose speaker while its sitting behind the TV? Can you add a picture or two here and also the model of speaker you're using? Thanks.
Thanks Paul. I still need to finish some small things under the bed there. But making progress on the rest.
Yesterday, I got the batteries connected to the DC gear in the pass-through (switch and shunt, then into 2 Lynx distributors). I ran the solar wires and DC-DC charging wires into the...
Hi @7ACMike - Congrats on the 29RL and welcome to the Alliance RV Owners Forum.
Great questions in your introduction post. I have moved your conversation with Jim to its own thread so that conversation can benefit others in a more relevant sub-forum here...

@RockDr896 - Generally, slide roofs cannot be walked on. If a slide needs to be worked on, it can be done from the ends or the front in most cases. If the slide topper needs to be replaced, it can be done with the slide partially to fully in and done from ladders, not from the roof.

Thank you Bruce. Sitting / kneeling on the roof for a few days was a drag but I do enjoy doing this sort of thing. When complete, our small trailer power system will be small but mighty :)

I don't know the wheel brand but I believe Lion's Head is our supplier.
I suggest you give them a call. Their number can be found in this article on our Owner Empowerment site.

You know Jim - that's not a bad idea. Though it doesn't lend itself to conversation while watching the tube.
As a side note, Nancy and I are both now using Philips Hearing aids. Out of the box, they only pair with our phones - which has been great! With the purchase ($250) of the Philips...

Hello Delta Owners - In my 2024 Delta 262RB, there is no open space around the living room TV to add a sound bar.
I have tried the IRV speaker in the ceiling with mixed success and it's not great sounding to my ears.
The storage space with a flip-up door above the TV looks inviting but...

That's great news @ed7209377648 Thanks for circling back here to let us know you solved it. Thanks too for giving the forum members here a shot at helping you.
Failure To Light.
It's for the Gas Water Heater. That light will stay lit while the water heater attempts to light its gas burner. Once it lights, the FTL light will go out.
Moving this thread to Water Heaters.
This sub-forum was created as a discussion space for those who often find themselves cooking for groups when camping. Discuss things such as large quantity recipes, cooking methods, cookery used, serving and more.
This sub-forum was inspired by forum user @RockDr896. Thank you for that :)
Hi @RockDr896 - Are you suggesting something along the lines of "Cooking for a Group"?
We do have some sub-forums under Cooking that are specific to types of cookery used. I understand that's not what you're asking for but wanted you to know.
Hi there - please review my response to the message you sent me. It includes my theory on the issue you're having and some direction for you in connecting with our service team.
@JMask - happy to hear our team has engaged you. I was able to get the product installation manual and brochure. Unfortunately, I've not found any sort of troubleshooting tables or guides for the product.
Here's a link to the article for this product on our Owner Empowerment site.
Nothing to do with your test or the results, but...
While the reviews of this product are generally good, my understanding is that in nearly all cases at a campground, the 15A GFCI outlet in the pedestal is branched off one of the 2 hot legs serving that pedestal and is not provisioned from a...
I can't make it but sounds like fun Rich and Becky!
I added this forum event thread as a link to the larger list of all upcoming rallies here: https://www.alliancervowners.com/rally/rallies/
@Terri&KevinGates - love that Lock and Lube. Does this one on Amazon look like the same one you have.
To all: Are there some favorite grease guns out there that DIYer's prefer? Here's a number of them from Lock and Lube's Amazon store. I need to get back into doing more of my own maintenance...
@BryanValRox - love the 90 degree zerk idea. I have passed your suggestion up the line.
If you don't mind, please share the Amazon links to both the 90 degree zerks and the dust caps. I saw a lot of options and this isn't my thing, so I need more guidance and it may help others too. Thanks.
I didn't scale mine but I have my weight sticker from the ODS of the unit.
GVWR: 8250 LB
GAWR: 5200 LB* each
UVW: 7026 LB
CCC: 1184 LB
* A caveat to mine is that I'm trying something out. I have Dexter 5200# axles with ABS braking, so my GAWR could differ from other 262RBs
@Turfengineer - sorry to hear that you continue to have issues with your GFCI circuit. While not a fix, I suggest you reach back to our Factory Customer Service team. Perhaps they can look at the record for your service appointment and confirm what action they took on the GFCI issue. Just a...
Hi @tmartin000 - for our use case, a standard dinette was best, so that's what I chose. My wife and I are not small people so for us, an RV booth isn't a great fit and we don't camp with children, so that's why we chose the dinette.
That said, we lost the storage space inside the booth seats...
@JMask - sorry to hear you're having an issue with an electric valve. This is all new territory for us at Alliance and while I did install electric valves on my Paradigm, I used a different brand and don't know much about what we're using. In 6 above, are you saying you're already working with...
Hi Paul - I like the idea of the splitter off the tank. Can you reply with brand/part or link? The adjustable regulator sounds cool too. Can you also reply with brand/part or link?
If I do use the dedicated tank model for the gen, I'm okay with the house only having 1 tank. 30# is a lot for...
